Gloria J. Halligan (nee Rogers)

Longtime science teacher.  March 29,1925, passed away August 18th, 2017.  A lifetime resident of Lackawanna. Died at the age of 92. The former Gloria Rogers graduated in 1943 from Stella Niagara Seminary and received a B.A. degree from D'Youville College in 1947 and a M.Ed., from Canisus College in 1957. She taught secondary science in the West Seneca school system for 30 years. She was the wife of the late John F. Halligan of Lackawanna and is survived by three children, Kathleen (John) Popp, William and Rosemary (David) Delecki; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday at the NORMAN E. GANNON & SONS Inc. FUNERAL HOME, 1075 Ridge Road, Lackawanna from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Victory Basilica, Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery will be private. She was a member of the OLV Altar and Rosary Society, D'Youville College Alumni, New York State Retired Teacher's Association and the West Seneca Retired Teachers Association.
