Lucille Bessie Potts

Lucille Potts, age 86, of Hamburg, NY, formerly of Duffy, OH, died Sunday November 6, 2016 at Autumn View Health Care, Hamburg NY.
She was born December 31, 1929 in Proctor, WV, a daughter of the late Fred and Nancy Smith Adams.
She was a member of New Matamoras United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #533 Clarington, OH, Theodore Rebekah Lodge #891, Hannibal, OH, Monroe Co. Historical Society – Charter member, Sons & Daughters of Pioneer Rivermen, Past Treasurer Ohio Township Civic Community Club, Hannibal Secretary of Monroe Co. Republican Executive & Central Committee 1975 thru 2005, Republican Precinct Committeeman Ohio South – Monroe Co. 1974 thru 2010, Alternate Delegate to Republican National Convention 1976, and County Chairman for President Ford Committee 1976.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Potts Sr. and a daughter, Colleen Scott.
Survivors include a son, William F. (Carol Jo) Potts Jr of Hilliard, FL; three daughters, Sheila (Robert) Hoepfinger of Hamburg, NY, Cindy Pierleoni of Rochester, NY, and Julia “Judy” Dierkes of Woodsfield, OH; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Friday from 5-9 pm at Grisell Funeral Home 125 Clarinda Dr. Clarington, OH, where services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating.
Eastern Star services will be held 6:30 pm on Friday.
Interment will follow in Harter Cemetery, Hannibal, OH
