Husband of Elizabeth O. (nee Ayer) and the late Frances I. (nee Barberie) Vail.
Father of William C. (Luci) and Robert J. (Deborah) Vail.
Step-Father of Ann M. (Eugene) Kowal, Sue Story, Donna (George) Gross, Thomas (Colleen) Oppermann, Roseann (Richard) Molini and the late Irene (Patrick) Reilly.
Brother of Thelma (Don) Martin, Joyce (late Rick) Rogers, Barbara (Richard) Currey, Marsha (Lloyd) Sauer, Allen Vail and the late Clarence (late Florence) Vail and Maryland (late Herb) Michaels.
Also survived by 21 Grandchildren, 27 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at NORMAN E. GANNON & SONS, Inc. FUNERAL HOME, 1075 Ridge Rd., Lackawanna (824-4000).
Services will be held at The First Church of Evans, 7431 Erie Rd. (Route 5), Derby on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
Burial to follow at Holland Cemetery.
Mr. Vail, a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran was a member of American Legion - Lackawanna Post 63, Former Scout Master of Troop 586 - Lackawanna and a Former Baseball Coach for the Lackawanna B.O.Y.S. Association.
