Ruth Stonier

Lackawanna, NY- Ruth Emily Monsey Stonier formally of Corning, much loved mother of Judy, Rick and Ralph has entered her eternal home with the knowledge and assurance of eternal life through her lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was predeceased by the love of her life Wallace in July 2012. They were married 67 years. We are positive there is much rejoicing with other family and friends in heaven. She was the last survivor of her generation.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Emily Monsey, her brother Robert and all her sisters and brother in-laws. She is survived by her daughter Judy Carlson (Douglas), sons, Richard (Laura) and Ralph (Bill Obad), grandchildren, Frank (Jing), Michael (Amanda) and great

grandchildren, Andrew, Julia and Henry, many nieces and nephews and adopted children, Brian and Kathy Wilson.

Mom was a spunky woman even as a child. She wore pants, road motorcycles and drove cars long before women did such things. She gave us inspiration to live and show love and respect to all people. Ruth was a past matron of the Big Flats Order of the Eastern Star and member of Calvary Baptist Church of Gibson, NY.

Ruth had recently moved to Hamburg, NY and was living with Ralph until her earthly body gave out. she passed at Mercy Hospital in Lackawanna, NY.

Family will receive friends on Friday, September 23, 2016, at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church in Gibson, with a Memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeffrey Becker officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery Tunkhannock, Pa., at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
