Husband of the late Virginia R. (nee Cowen) and the late Marian (nee O'Brien) McCarthy-Wirth.

Father of Deborah Ruth Wirth and the late John Raymond Wirth.

Step-Father of James (Mary) McCarthy.

Step-Grandfather of Andrea, Larissa and Ryan.

Brother of David (Line) Wirth and the late Jeanette (late Edwin) Inman, James, Raymond E., Robert (late Noreen), Kenneth (Isabelle) and Annette (late William) Watson.

Visitation Friday 4-7 p.m. at NORMAN E. GANNON & SONS, Inc. FUNERAL HOME, 1075 Ridge Rd.; Lackawanna (716-824-4000), where Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

Burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Mr. Wirth was a U. S. Navy Veteran and an avid New York Yankees fan.

The family appreciates the loving concern of Mr. Wirth's neighbors, which allowed him to remain in his home right up until the end.
