Joseph T. Head, born December 9th, 1951, of Buffalo passed away on February 26th, 2023 after a brief but courageous battle against cancer.
Loving Husband of his recently departed wife of 38 years, Colleen S. (nee Sutherland) Head.
Beloved Father of Kaitlin (Allen) Oberg.
Grandfather of Lachlan Oberg.
Brother of Michael (Noreen) Head.
Also survived by his nephews John, Richie and Eric nieces Allison and Lisa.
A member of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. Joe dedicated his life to music and teaching, and it was his absolute joy to share his gift with the world through song for as long as he could.
He will be deeply missed by all, but especially his friends, family, bandmates and the entire Buffalo Music Community.
In Joe's own words from his song, Driftwood: "It's a thin line that separates the night from day. A small pain can rifle all your joy away. But, a little love can make you want to stay, if you've sworn yourself to staying anyway."
Donations in Joe's memory can be made to The Center for the Arts at Bishop Timon-St. Jude High School in South Buffalo.
A Celebration of Life to be scheduled at a later date.
