(late Margaret) Check and Mary Ellen (Michael) DeMarie.  Grandfather of Sarah (Jonathan) Wright, Ashley (Brian) Czapla, Lauren Check and Stephen Rieger.  Great-Grandfather of Kayla, Kylie and Aubrey Wright.  Visitation Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. at NORMAN E. GANNON & SONS, Inc. FUNERAL HOME, 1075 Ridge Rd.; Lackawanna.  Friends are invited to join the family for The Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Victory Basilica, Thursday at 10:30 a.m.  Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.  Mr. Check was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, member of the Harvey D. Morin VFW - Post #2940, Knights of Columbus - Father Baker Council # 2243 and a Long-Time Volunteer at Our Lady of Victory Basilica.
