Francis M. "Frank" Ransbury
died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on June 25th, 2016 in Angola, NY at the age of 84.
Beloved Husband of 62 years of Norine "Mate" (nee Kriegbaum) Ransbury.  Loving Father of Deborah (John) Godwin, Michael (Paula), Francis (Kathie), Joseph (Christa), Kathleen (Sam) Brown, Patrick (Kathy), Raymond (Jan) and Mary (Bruce) Siskowski.  Devoted Grandfather of John (Maureen), Catherine (Jeff), Meghan, Jessica (Matt), Jacquelyn, Christina, Ashlee, Nicholas, Kiley, Kara, Stephen, Gregory, Andrew, Zachary, Timothy, Ryan, Adam, James and Benjamin.  Great Grandfather of Charles Viggato.  Brother-in-Law of Shirley (Vic) Vitello.  Uncle of Julee, Doug and Scott (Jeannette) Vitello.  Frank was born on December 18th, 1931 in Lackawanna to the late Frank S. Ransbury and Lillian Talty.  He served as Union President of The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainman-Division 421.  Frank served proudly and honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.  His animated and humorous storytelling will be missed by all who knew him.  For many years Mr. Ransbury volunteered at Operation Good Neighbor and was a member of the Evans Art Guild and the Knights of Columbus; Msgr. Nash Council # 3875, South Buffalo.  Visitation Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at NORMAN E. GANNON & SONS, Inc. FUNERAL HOME, 1075 Ridge Rd.; Lackawanna (824-4000).  Friends are invited to join the family for The Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Charity Parish - "St. Ambrose", 65 Ridgewood Rd.; South Buffalo on Friday at 11:30 a.m.  Interment to follow, with Full Military Honors, at Holy Cross Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
